How to avail HDFC Bank services through missed call or SMS?

Some time back, HDFC bank has started a service wherein customers of the bank can avail many services just by giving missed call to a specific number. There will be no charges for that phone call.

Another way they offer is via sending SMS to a specific number. You’ll get details as SMS on your mobile phone.

One can request a new cheque book, know account balance, get account statement or mini statement. This method is quite conveniently than previous ways of calling customer care department and going through whole process. No need to visit branch or ATM.

How to register mobile number with HDFC Bank?

The customer has to register his mobile number with the bank. For that, you’ve to visit the branch with your original ID proof and fill-up the form there in the branch. You may, however, visit any HDFC branch for that. No compulsion to visit your home branch.

6 stm Request for an Account Statement Your account statement will be mailed to you (Period of the statement would be from the last statement received till the date of sending sms)
7 bil Bill Details Your electricity and telephone bill details will be sent to you via SMS
8 fdq Fixed Deposit Enquiry The details of current fixed deposit with the bank (max. 5 accounts). You will see your account no., principal amount, rate of interest, maturity date and maturity amount.
9 new <14 digit account no.> Change of Primary Account The option to change your primary account and carry out transactions on the new account.
10 ipin Internet Banking password (IPIN) regeneration Get a confirmed receipt of your IPIN regeneration request. The IPIN is sent to your mailing address.
