1.Reliance Mutual Fund files offer document for the Debt Opportunities Fund (Plan A to Plan E)

Reliance Mutual Fund has filed offer document with SEBI to launch a close ended equity scheme fund as Reliance Debt Opportunities Fund (Plan A to Plan E). The New Fund Offer price is Rs 10 per unit. The investment objective of the scheme is to generate income through investments in a range of debt and money market instruments having a maturity less than or equal to the residual maturity of the respective plans.

2.UTI Capital Mutual Fund files offer document for Protection Oriented Scheme – Series IV

The UTI Capital Mutual Fund has filed offer document with SEBI to launch a close ended capital protection oriented income fund as �UTI Capital Protection Oriented Scheme -Series IV�. The New Fund Offer price is Rs 10 per unit. Entry and exit load charges will be nil for the scheme. The Minimum Target Amount of the fund is Rs 20 crore.

3.UTI Fixed Term Income Fund – Series XV – II (367 Days) Announces Dividend

UTI Mutual Fund has announced 02 May 2014 as the record date for declaration of dividend under dividend options of UTI Fixed Term Income Fund – Series XV – II (367 Days). The rate of dividend (Rs per unit) will be 100% of distributable surplus as on the record date on the face value of Rs 10 per unit.

4.MFs lost 88 lakh investor accounts in past 5 yrs

Mutual Funds lost about 33 lakh individual accounts or folios in the financial year 2013-14, according to SEBI (Securities and Exchange Board of India) data. Folios are numbers given to individual investor accounts, although one investor can have multiple folios. At present, there are 44 fund houses. The number of folios fell to around 3.95 crore at the end of 2013-14, from 4.28 crore in the last fiscal (2012-13) -a decline of 33 lakh investor accounts.
