L&T Mutual Fund has filed offer document with Sebi to launch L&T Prudence Fund, an open ended balanced scheme. The New Fund Offer price is Rs. 10 per unit. Investment objective: The investment objective of the scheme is to provide medium to long term capital gains and/ or income distribution while at all times emphasizing the importance of capital appreciation.

2.Tata Fixed Maturity Plan Series 38 Scheme I (369 Days) Floats On.

Tata Mutual Fund has launched a new fund named as Tata Fixed Maturity Plan Series 38 Scheme I, a close-ended debt scheme with the duration of 369 days from the date of allotment. The New Fund Offer (NFO) price for the scheme is Rs. 10 per unit. The new issue will be open for subscription from 10 January and closes on 17 January 2012.

GENERAL

1.MFs stand as net sellers on January 06: SEBI.



Mutual Funds (MFs) made investments worth Rs 264.40 crore and sold off Rs 465.90 crore worth of equities on January 6, 2012, according to data released by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). Thus, MFs stood as net sellers of Rs 201.50 crore in equities on that day. In the month of January, MFs have made total investments of Rs 1795.40 crore and sold off Rs 1927.30 crore worth of equities, so far.


In the debt segment, MFs made investments of Rs 4294.70 crore and sold off Rs 5689.10 crore on January 6, 2012 as per the details available with SEBI. Thus MFs stood as sellers of Rs 1394.40 crore on that day. Further, MFs have poured in total Rs 30087.50 crore and have taken out Rs 23996.30 crore in debt market for the month of January, so far.

2.Reliance MF Floats Reliance Fixed Horizon Fund – XXI – Series 17.

Reliance Mutual Fund has launched a new fund named as Reliance Fixed Horizon Fund – XXI – Series 17, a close ended income scheme with the duration of 440 days from the date of allotment. During the New Fund Offer (NFO) the scheme will offer units at Rs. 10 per unit. The new issue will be open for subscription from 10 January and will close on 16 January 2012.

The New Fund Offer (NFO) price for the scheme is Rs. 10 per unit. The new issue will be open for subscription from 10 January and closes on 16 January 2012.
