  1. Unique Venture?

Selling Insurance and Mutual Funds is exactly what companies like Geojit, JRG, Bajaj Finance etc. do through their offices.

Success would depend upon the volume of business. You would need a lot of field marketing executives to bring in the volumes.

  2. 1) yes
    2) You need to be licensed in your state to sell those
    2) you need to be trained by the insurance companies to do that

    3) do the first two before you worry about three

  3. 1) yes
    2) too many to name here
    3) combination of what you need & what you can find & what you can afford- which will depend on your success.

That is pretty much how every insurance office works… they sell insurance. They also sell investments via mutual funds, annuities, VUL etc.

  4. Volume of selling will only decide if it will be viable or not. You will require a good team of sellers to achieve it.
