Which Indian Bank take a repaired currency and give back a fresh one?



Somehow I got a repaired (2 halfs pasted with a sellotape) currency of Rs. 500 which no one wants to take it. Just wondering which Indian Bank take a repaired currency and give back a fresh one?

  1. In India it’s the job of RBI designated banks to exchange the currency and coins for free.By the order of RBI all the designated banks have to display “Mutilated Notes are Accepted and Exchanged here’ for the convenience of the customers.”

    I think all the govt. banks like SBI,PNB falls in this category.Why don’t you go and check in your nearest govt.bank branch.
