What is the time period, if any, within which an Order has to be passed on an appeal before CIT (A) ?

My appeal before CIT (A) is pending for the last 3-4 years, and still there is no indication when it is going to be heard. Is there any time limit in Income-tax Act for the CIT (A) within which it has to issue notice of hearing and pass Order?

  1. You really should go back to CIT (A) and start over so that you could try to really find out and get some good correct information face to face from some one that is located where the CIT ( A) is located at this time in your life since you do say your appeal has been pending for 3-4 years at this time in your life.

  2. To lengthen the time period, which begins at 12 moments and 2 shakes of a cat’s tail, merely gherodinate the sperises of the outermost shell, thus forming a viscous plasma and slowing the passage of time.
