  2. Sensex: It is the index of BSE ( Bombay stock exchange ) ,which contains 30 shares from different sectors on the basis of capitalisation.The rise n fall of the sensex is reflected through the movement of the prices of these 30 index stocks.

    Nifty:It is the index of NSE ( National stock exchange ),which contains 50 shares from different sectors on the basis of their capitalisation.There r some common shares ,which find their place both in NSE n BSE.The rise n fall of the NIFTY depends on the price movement of the shares ,it contains.

    IPO:It is initial public offer.When a company for the first time offers it’s shares for public subscription,it is called IPO.These r called initial public offer because they r traded in the BSE n NSE only after the IPO.

    Equity:A company can issue different type of shares,like equity shares n preference shares.So,equity is one type of share.But in financial management equity is some times referred as the contribution of the promoters.

    Stock:The shares r some times called stocks.

    Bulls:The bulls r a trype of share traders,who operate in the share market.They r called bulls as ,they always buy shares in anticipation of rise in the prices of shares.

    Bears:The bears r traders like the bulls.But they do not buy ,rather sell the shares in anticipation of fall in prices of shares.
