Need information on problems of property deed being on 2 persons names?



I have a plot in Hyderabad which is registered on 2 people names (my self and my uncle. He is friend of my father and not related to me any way). He is 72 years and currently his health is not well. He is not married. What happens in case he passes away.

  1. if he is not married and that he doesn’t have legal heirs, you don’t need to worry about anything. The property will be yours. As soon as he dies, be ready to get the copy of his DC (Death Certificate), attested by a genuine gusseted officer or the real Certificate. In future if you enter any property matter this is necessary.


  2. After his lifetime his share will be inherited by second level heirs like his brothers, sisters or their children. Better you get a release deed from him after making payment to his share.
