Mutual funds of type Inistitutional or Retail, which is good?


I would like to know , what is Institutional or Retail type in mutual funds, coz when I try to purchase a MF, I see funds of type inistitutinal & retail type…so what does it mean,,and which ones are good option to choose, which one provides good returns.

  1. Institutional funds are offered to their biggest & best customers (a brokerage house, corporate 401k plans, etc). They have lower expenses. You will not be allowed to buy these. You would have to use the retail funds.

  2. Dear u can get all news on . retail investments : u can invest even 500.00 rupees , commonly u have to by for 5000.00
    that is u can invest 5000.00 .as a biginer.the u can add 1000+,
    Institution 500,000.00 ……… or 50000000.00
