  1. There is no maturity date for mutual funds. They are pools of money that have many different investment instuments, stocks, bonds, cash, and even other mutual funds.

    A problem can occur when a fund grows to large for fund managers to handle effectively.


  2. There is no Maturity date for most of the mutual funds. In most of the open ended schemes, you can enter and exit at any point of time.

    Some of the ELSS and ULIPs have a minimum lockin period for 3 years.
    For equity funds, there is no lockin period.
