Is there some kind of appeal to have taxes not charged if one’s income is too low?

I have to claim other income on my taxes for medical bills written off, a friend said there’s a way to ask to have no takes be needed for that somehow, is there a loophole if I’m poor enough in this circumstances, and a particular from to file for it?

  1. If you had debt cancelled, the amount is generally taxable.

You still need to file. Then if you’re assessed tax that you can’t afford, there are IRS collection alternatives. If your income is below certain guidelines based on poverty, they IRS won’t collect from you. But you have to file the return to establish the amount.

  2. Check the exempt box when you fill out a new W4 form. when you file you may owe and not qualify for the unearned income credit. So think twice before yo do that. Seen people end up paying DOUBLE what they would of withheld when they had to pay penalties & interest because they didn’t have what they owed after filing.
