Is there any law for tenant to repair the rented building if the lanlord is not going to repair the building?



We have been running a shop in a rented property from the past 60 years.The roof of the building is damaged.The landlord is not going to repair it.Tell me is their any law for a tenant for repair the damaged building or any other way to resolve this problem?

I believe that legally if you fix it all you have to do is present the receipt to the landlord, and he/she would have to compensate you for the cost or take it off your rent asnd if they refuse you can take them to court. I would check with your state laws or with a lawyer to fully understand your options.
