Indian insurance with coverage abroad?

I am an Indian citizen who will soon be travelling to the UAE on my husband’s sponsored visa. I am looking for an insurance policy to be taken in India. It has to cover pregnancy and epilepsy costs in hospitals in UAE, more specifically in Dubai and Sharjah. I prefer to pay the premium in Rupees. Any suggestions?

  1. OMP does not cover pregnency. It is provided for medical emergencies on your foreigh travels. A few of of the Indian insurance companies (health-general) provide pregnancy cover after nine months. Some others provides the cover after 3-6 years. In Health Insurance the geographical area is within Indian terrotory. So consider these facts and various aspects before taking a policy.
Have a nice stay in Sharja!
