If I do not operate My savings account for more then 4 Years No transaction then what will happen?



If I do not do any transaction in my savings account for more then 4 years then what will happen to my money in my account.
I will be able to withdraw the money from my account after 4 Years?

Please reply soon…… Serious answers… Please

  1. Well account becomes dormant .
    But it is your money , give an application and can withdraw.
    If you make a scene in bank may be they will pay the same day 🙂


  2. if u are operating the account, it is known as active account., if u dont operate an account for along period it is know as dormant account. and after 5 years it is a dead account


  3. account becomes inactive/dormant and u have to give a written application or a oral consent if u want to activate the account again


  4. Your account will be treated as dormant account.

    if you want to withdraw from this account, the procedure is different in as much as the withdrawal will have to be permitted/authenticated by an designated official of the bank, who may satisfy himself that you are the real holder of the account.

    this safeguard is put in place by the banking system since in the past many fraudulent withdrawals from dormant accounts had taken place, normally by the bank/branch staff.
