I tried to use my card at the bank but it said it was reported as stolen/lost. What is going on?



I went to the bank tonight and tried to check how much money was in my account. The ATM said that my card was reported as lost or stolen, but I have it on me. I didn’t report it or even know about it. It’s Saturday and my bank isn’t open until Monday, what might have happened and what should I do?

I tried to use my card at the bank but it said it was reported as stolen/lost. What is going on?

  1. When I reported my ATM card stolen and I found it like an hour later, I attempted to withdraw funds from my checking account,,, The ATM didn’t tell me anything, the machine simply ate it …

    So I’m guessing someone has reported their card stolen and when you tried to use it …


  2. MAY BE ANY BODY DUPLICATED IT
    SO INFORM THE BANK AS SOON OR OTHERS MAY ESCAPE IN THE MEAN WHILE
    DID YOU HAVE A LOT OF MONEY IN IT?
    DON’T PANIC , AS THERE IS EVIDENCE FOR YOUR SAVINGS, YOU CAN RECLAIM IT.

    WHILE STARTING NEW ATM, CHOOSE YOUR NEAREST ONE, AND THE POPULAR ONE SO POLICE TAKES IT MORE SERIOUS

  3. maybe ita computer glitch
    usually the atm wont tell you a thing it will just take the card
    have you tried customer service the bank might be closed
    but some banks customer service centers are sometimes open
    24/7 depending on the bank
    i dont see how someelese could have report your card lost or
    stolen because customer service will ask you secuity questions
    now did yu try another ATM -as i think its a computer glitch


  4. You need no worry. You try again may be due to some errors in processing. Then you may have to report for resetting your card. You please read my topic ‘Modern Living Style’ in ‘hubpages.com’.


  5. Some one who might know your details of card had done this.. Don’t panic as the card is blocked no amount of money will be lost.. You report the problem to the banker and arrange for a secret question for you for all the customer care issues..
