I have reason to believe that the seller’s agent was not truthful about the opposing bids for a property. I’m?

I have reason to believe that the seller’s agent was not truthful about the opposing bids for a property. I’m suspicious he made up bids to drive up the price I eventually offered. Do I have the right to demand proof of the opposing bids?

  1. No, you not only can not demand proof, the agent can not legally show you other peoples bids. It is a violation of their rights, just like yours can’t be shown, and a gross ethics violation.

If you have reason to believe anything untoward was going on you tell the state RE board, they can look at the offers, not you.

You should not have been given any details of the offers in the first place, other then if you were first or not.
