I am an out of state owner and made a deal to sell my vacant lot. The buyer was a licensed real estate agent who within a week (and before we closed our transaction) had sold it to someone else for $50,000 more than what they paid me. Is this legal or ethical?

  1. He couldn’t have sold the property before it was legally his, so you have your facts wrong.

Once the property is legally his, he can sell it at whatever price he wants to whoever he wants to sell it to. You should have done your market research more carefully.
