How many people would like to get healthy home cooked meals at the office?

I’m planing to start a business from home supplying local businesses home cooked meals for lunch. I will have normal indian food, healthy food, diet food, pasta and combinations of soup, salad, sandwich and juice. What i want to know is would you be interested in something like this if it were available near your office and what specifically would you like?

  1. Your cost will override your profit, you won’t sell it all. Go around about 10 am with fresh baked muffins, cookies and a veggie medley with ranch dressing. Low cost and high profit. Used to have a restaurant and the smaller the menu the better your profit, most expect about 35%. Carry two baskets have you and your helpers in a bit of a uniform, don’t waste employees time, be on time and they know that the cost is a dollar or a dollar fifty. If you have a day with specials hand out a flier with the day and price and item–don’t do it all at once.

  2. Yours is a very good idea, but why don’t u try something similar to the mumbai Dabbawalas’ ?

A dabbawala, literally meaning person with a box, is a person in the Indian city of Mumbai who is employed in a unique service industry whose primary business is collecting the freshly cooked food in lunch boxes from the residences of the office workers, delivering it to their respective workplaces and returning back the empty boxes.

Nothing can match home cooked food, If its from a love one even better. Incase you are in a city where both the major population is of youngsters where both the Guy and the Girl are working (Gurgaon/Banglore/Hyderabad etc.) then probably your idea is ideally suited!!
