French property: What does T3 and T5 mean in property descriptions?

I’ve looked at different types of apartment and house on French property websites. I realise that T means “type” (or so I believe). But what is each type – and how can I find out more? Is there, for example, a website with diagrams or drawings?

  1. A T3 is an apartment with three rooms (normally, a livingroom and 2 bedrooms), a T5 is an apartment with 5 rooms (normally, a livingroom and 4 bedrooms). A bathroom or a kitchen doesn’t count as a room. A F1 is a studio.
