does becoming a US Citizen affect the LIC policies I am paying for as an Indian Citizen?

I took an LIC policy, and am paying the premiums now. If I become a US Citizen, does this affect the policy benefits? or should I stop paying those now?

  1. The normal thing to do is on changing ur resident status to NRI or a us citizen , you fill a form ( there is a specific form available with LIC ) & give a copy of ur say green card or citizenship certificate to be kept in ur file with LIC office . Then open an NRI account in US , start paying ur premium on line from that account , so that when ur policy matures , the money will be deposited in that account . Its illegal to keep a saving account in India ,once ur resident status has changed.
