Do the financial planning of Private Asset Management companies reliable?

I have to make an investment of around INR 10,00,000 per annum. I had been contacted by more than 10 wealth management companies, but I am confused what to do..? I already have a lot of investments in Mutual funds and stock market, they are giving me a PMS, any idea what this is?

  1. Some investment advisors or asset managers are good, some are bad. That’s pretty much all there is to it. If you have a lot of savings and would like to seek the advice of a professional asset manager, shop around. It is important to look into a number of different companies or managers.

Things to look for are low costs, good performance track records, and honesty. Learn about the company’s investment philosophy. You want a manager who can make sense of the markets but still understands your needs. My only advice is to not settle for the first company or advisor you see. Carefully weigh the pros/cons of each manager before committing.

  2. PMS is portfolio management service. The manager uses your money to his whim…most of them show losses..that’s another story.if at all you book profits, then 20% goes to them. it’s a win-win situation for the PMS and reverse for you.

    stick to mutual funds.
