Can you withdraw money from your credit card even though you used your limit?

I have a capital one credit card, and I had a 300 dollar limit used 275 for emergency, and now another emergency popped up and I need like 200.00 can I still withdraw from a local atm machine or it’s a no go?

  1. Only if you want to get charged massive fees on top of the ridiculous interest rate that comes with cash withdrawals. oh yeah, and have your credit dinged pretty good for going over limit.

  2. There is a 1-800 number on the back of your card. Call customer service and explain what your emergency is. With any luck they will approve the withdrawal…. but… the fees and overdraft charges you are looking at are huge. You do understand that you need to pay this off immediately…. right?

Unless they approve it over the phone…. you will not be able to get $200 out of an ATM.
