As a customer can I force my bank to give specific denominition of notes while making withdrawal from my A/c?

Can bank offical deny my such request on the basis of unavailabity of such denominition or non availabity of good useable notes in good notes? Is there any specific guideline regarding this?

  1. If it is not available with them, what they can do ? They have to oblige the request of other customers
also.Instead of forcing them to give the specific denomination, you may request them

  2. You can REQUEST cash in any denomination you wish, and ALL banks will do their best to meet the request. They HAVE NO CHOICE but to deny the request if the don’t have the denomination you request on hand in sufficient quantities. This is not even a legal issue. It is NOT POSSIBLE to give you what they don’t have. If you are willing to make an appointment to come back later, they WILL arrange to receive the required notes on the cash shipment for which they can still update their order.

  3. Why would you have to force them?? Banks are there to serve their customers. If they have the specific denomination on hand they will give it to you.
