i have started investing in mutual funds from Jan. 2011. I beleive that investing in mutual funds for long term(more than 15 years) will give 16-20% returns. Is it possible?

Looking at the historic returns of Sensex and good mutual funds, one can expect the same. But still, for proper financial planning, imagine the lower value of returns and invest in that way. It might happens, that the funds chosen by you at this time may not perform well in future or vice versa. So, you need to continue monitor your funds and compare with benchmark and other mutual funds and take appropriate action accordingly.

Hope it will help you.
