i want to invest 1000per month in bank rd.but the max term in rd is 10 years.money back plans have lots of hidden charge and mutual fund sip for long term probably have lots of risks due to current scenireo of financial world.what to do?ppf is better option but now a days banks have higher interest rate than ppf.

If you think MF are not good even for long term, it means you don't understand them fully. So, avoid it. In my opinion, MF are best for 10 years of time with SIP. I'm also investing in mutual funds via SIP, even in this kind of market. If possible, try and understand the mutual funds. Otherwise, just  go for bank FD. Simple.
