    You will have to open a new account in SBI and then tell your bankers SBBJ to close the account and transfer all the funds to your new aount in SBI

    sbbj whih branch and sbi which branch
    yes it is possible
    you give a letter along with the passbook to sbbj branch and asking them to transfer it to sbi ………… branch and give your new address the ac will be closed and sent to sbi branch they will inform you that your account has been transferred and to collect your pass book
    similarly you can do with the sbi branch also by giving your letter and passbooks

    DONT ASK HOPELESS QUESTION. OPEN NEW ACCOUNT AND IF NOT REQUIRED THAN CLOSE EARLIER ACCOUNT.

    No. Open a new account at SBI.
    Close the old account at SBBJ and deposit the Balance in your new account by a personal visit.
    If the amount is too large – open new account at SBI – and than deposit a self drawn cheque from SBBJ and deposit in SBI, /leaving a balance of Rs.1,000/- and aboveapproxx in SBBJ and than visit SBBJ close the account by self cashwithdrawall from that account. You have to give a written letter to SBBJ of your desire to close the account in view of your change in residence.
