    i deposited one of SBI, BANKURA ( WB ) cheque at PNB , LALBAZAR ( SEC’BAD) in Dec 2007 . it took more than 50 days. And that is considered a great speed by SBI staffers or duffers.

    As all HDFC cheques are ‘payable at par at all centres”. it should not take more than 3 (three) days to en cash and be deposited in your A/c.
    All Cheques in the Metro centres are cleared within three days max.

    max 3 days. give them a notice for defecient service

    If it is a local clearing cheque, then it will take 3 days, but if it is out station cheque then take 1 week.
