hi .. i work with sbi… there r two things u shud know…
first if u want to transfer more than rs 1lac u can go for RTGS which u can do at home by using internet banking.. and if u dont have then go to ur SBI branch and fill RTGS form and give to the person at BT/Clearing seat.. ur money will reach in less than 5minutes
and if u want to transfer less than rs 1lac (must be more than rs1000/-) then u can go for NEFT
which u can do at home by using internet banking.. and if u dont have then go to ur SBI branch and fill NEFT form and give to the person at BT/Clearing seat.. ur money will reach in less than 5minutes
NEFT means: National electronic fund transfer
RTGS means: Real Time Gross Settlement.
Please note that u can do both NEFT or RTGS in time between 8am to 4pm… its time recommended by RBI but many banks offer service upto 6pm and SBI and HDFC both offer it.
U can download both forms from sbi.co.in or onlinesbi.com
ANOTHER solution is from card to card transfer, go to sbi atm and transfer money to ur hdfc atm.. u will need to know atm card number, its date of issue/expiry…. and both shud be maestro enabled….
Updates, Its FREE!
