If one has an adequate provision for his current requirements, should he still go in for 'Credit Card'?

Credit credit is not just for emergency cash. It serves number of other purposes also like shopping, paying utility bills like electricity bills, premiums for insurance policies, using on internet, hospitals etc. If one does not want to use for any of these services, why to get one.
